Pastor Jeff’s message really rocked me today, one of those ‘wow he might have written this just for me’ moments. As many of you know, I’ve been struggling more with some chronic health issues lately and I must admit I’ve been starting to wonder how I was going to spend the rest of my life, however long that might be.
Jeff”s message today told me that God isn’t done with me yet, that he still expects “greater things” of me. What I heard is that I have to be patient and trust God’s mission for my life. If he feels I need to be forged longer in the fires of challenge before I’m ready for those “greater things”, he knows better than me. If the man by the waters of Bethesda can wait 38 years to pick up his mat and walk, I can hang on a bit longer to to see what “greater thing” God wants me to do yet.
